Job Description:

The Catering Sales Manager will oversee all Catering Sales activity for the Centralized Catering Kitchen.  Catering Sales Manager works closely with the General Manager of the Centralized Catering Kitchen.  Travels to provide support and/or direction to applicable markets throughout the company - both in their development and stewardship.


FOCUS

 Develops overall strategic catering sales platform for the Centralized Catering Kitchen.
 Communicates with company marketing & merchandising personnel and store operations on marketing, advertising, promotional plans, and catering sales strategies.
 Works with GM at Catering Kitchen to help with soliciting group orders for the kitchen.
 Physically calls on buildings, making new business contacts and distributing samples such as mini-cookies; ordering forms; menus.
 Manage business cards database and proactively market to them for catering sales.
 Develops, manages and monitors all catering sales budgets for Centralized Catering Kitchen.
 Engages operational and merchandising personnel and where applicable, establishes new strategies for catering sales programs.
 Leads the direction for all CBD catering leads activity.

 Possess a proven sales record of success in working with growth-oriented, dynamic organizations.
 A successful track record of introducing new programs demonstrated by the ability to anticipate market changes and customer preferences, and identifying and marketing products that meet those needs.
 Aggressive team builder - one who sets goals that exceed expectations, including the ability to identify gaps and develop the skills along with the addition of staff.  At the same time, this person must carry a certain inspirational vision to provide the proper leadership necessary to exceed those stated catering sales expectations.
 Ability to interface effectively with operating management at all levels of the company by virtue of keen business acumen, professional competence, personal integrity, management style, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS
 Must represent Potbelly Advantage and Our Values.
 Minimum of 5 years experience within foodservice industry and has created sales markets for new locations through a wide variety of channels, specifically business to consumer.

 Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
 Working knowledge of operations with at least one month training.
 College degree, preferred.
 Experience in cold calling.
 Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
