What’s up with the new salads?
We’re glad you asked. We’re super proud to introduce our new salad line, including two new salads that are bigger and feature our all-natural grilled chicken breast. Both can be made vegetarian at your request.
The Uptown Salad offers a flavorful combination of diced apples, dried cranberries, whole grapes, diced red onions, crumbled blue cheese, and candied walnuts.
The Farmhouse Salad combines a satisfying mix of chopped egg, applewood smoked bacon, diced red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and crumbled blue cheese.
All of these great ingredients are served on a crisp, fresh bed of romaine and iceberg lettuce.
Your salads sound great, but I don’t like one of the ingredients…can I get it left off?
Of course! We make all of our salads fresh to order just for you. Please let us know if you would like an ingredient left out or if you would like extra of another ingredient. We’re happy to do it for you. Some extras (like extra chicken) may require an extra charge, though.
I’m a vegetarian. What’s in it for me?
Our new salad menu has lots to offer our vegetarian fans. Our Chickpea Veggie Salad has loads of chickpeas (not only yummy, but full of protein) and is topped with fresh cucumbers, grape tomatoes, diced red onions, crumbled blue cheese and chopped eggs. Or we can make you an Uptown without the chicken for a delicious vegetarian feast filled with fruits, nuts and cheese. And if you want something else, just let us know. We’re happy to help you get the salad you crave.
What are the calories of your new salads?
The Farmhouse and Uptown are both under 600 calories and either can be customized to fit your dietary needs.

I see the Wreck Salad and the Chicken Salad Salad are still on the menu, but what happened to the Veggie Salad and the Italian Salad? Can I still order those?
Our Veggie Salad is now called the Chickpea Veggie Salad. While we no longer have artichoke hearts or roasted red peppers, we added diced red onions, crumbled blue cheese and twice the amount of chickpeas for extra protein. Try it with our new Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette. We think you’ll love it!
If the Italian Salad was your former favorite, we can still make a great tasting salad for you with our four Italian meats - capicola, mortadella, salami, and pepperoni, served along with provolone cheese, chickpeas, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and crumbled blue cheese. We encourage Italian salad lovers to give this new version a try!
Why did you take away artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers?
We believe that to keep the quality high we must keep things simple – a big part of this is limiting the number of ingredients we use. During the development of our new salads, we realized that unfortunately some of the ingredients would have to go. If you loved the roasted red peppers and artichokes we’re sorry to disappoint, but we hope that you will try the new salads, and experiment with the toppings so you can get yours just the way you like it.
What’s up with your lettuce?
Good question. It’s not a great salad without great lettuce, so we use a mix that is 70% romaine and 30% iceberg. And while the lettuce may appear unusually white at times, that’s just the romaine hearts. It’s always 70/30, and it’s always delicious.
What happened to your croutons?
They are still available and we are happy to give them to you at no extra charge - just ask!
What happened to your dressings?
When we created our new salads, we thought we should take a look at our dressings as well. You’ll still find our incredibly popular Non-Fat Vinaigrette and Buttermilk Ranch dressings, but we’ve also added two new varieties. The delicious Creamy Vinaigrette starts with a slightly sweet white wine vinaigrette, and the Roasted Garlic dressing is a red wine vinaigrette that’s similar to the classic Potbelly vinaigrette (if you’re a fan of the old dressing, this one’s for you). And while our new dressings and new salads came out together, they are just as tasty on any of our salads, so experiment and find your favorite combo.
We’d love to hear what you think of our new dressings, so

What does "all-natural chicken" mean?
When we say “all-natural,” we’re talking about how the chicken is prepared. Our chicken has no artificial chemicals, preservatives or additives and is minimally processed, with seasonings that you probably have in your kitchen. In other words, it’s chicken the way you would make it
We take pride in serving only the finest quality all-white breast meat, hand-cut every day in each of our stores for maximum flavor and freshness.
I noticed that your new salad bowl is plastic and your old bowl was paper. This doesn’t seem like an eco-friendly move.
Not exactly the case. Actually, while our old bowls were made from post-consumer recycled materials, they had plastic liners that made them non-recyclable. Our new bowls are made of recyclable plastic and can go into the recycle bin at one of our stores, at work or at home.
